The Cashmere Checkered Pashmina Shawl is one of Kashmir's most beloved weaving traditions — the Chakor (check) pattern symbolises precision and symmetry, achieved through a meticulous interlacing of naturally dyed yarn on a hand-operated loom. Unlike printed checks, every line in an authentic Kashmiri checked pashmina is woven directly into the fabric, giving it a reversible, three-dimensional quality that mass-produced shawls cannot replicate.
Bhat Brothers sources only Grade-A Pashmina fibre from the high-altitude Changthangi goats of Ladakh and Nepal. Our checked shawls are available in a wide spectrum of colour combinations, from earthy naturals to vibrant jewel tones, and in sizes ranging from stoles (28 × 80 in) to full-size luxury shawls (36 × 80 in).
